day tour

byron hinterland paddock to plate

From crop-to-cup coffee to farm-to-table food and paddock-to-bottle spirits, we bring you the best locally-grown fare in Byron.

Tour Overview

Hankering to savour the finest locally-grown fare in the Byron Hinterlands We’ve got the ultimate day trip for you.

The tour kicks off with an early(ish) pick-up from your swanky Coolangatta, Tweed, Kingscliff or Casuarina hotel.

Once we’ve all clambered aboard Kiff & Culture’s cool customised van, we cruise through rolling hinterland hills towards an elevated coffee plantation. Learn how this all-Aussie producer grows and roasts ethical, sustainable beans for discerning domestic consumers. We’ll then savour one of Australia’s only authentic crop-to-cup coffee experiences.

With caffeine coursing through our veins, we head to a quaint hinterland hamlet for a casual village tour. Peruse a slew of chic boutiques stocking everything from antiques to homewares and vintage apparel.

All that shopping would’ve worked up an appetite. Handily, this picturesque hinterland village happens to host one of the Northern River’s best farm-to-table establishments. What this venue can’t grow on-site, it sources from top-quality local suppliers to guarantee utmost freshness. We’ll devour a delicious deli-style lunch—think house-smoked pastrami sandwiches, leafy green salads, and decadent French-style pastries.

With a well-lined stomach, we venture towards a renowned Byron brewery or gin distillery (depending on availability).

Nestled in a recently rejuvenated rainforest, the distillery infuses home-grown botanicals into its award-winning range. Meander the lush re-forested property (keep an eye out for koalas) as you hear their inspiring sustainability story. Naturally, we’ll indulge in a cheeky tasting session to sip the good stuff at the source.

The brewery gives us a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Byron’s most successful beer maker. Sold in pubs and bottlos around the country, this iconic brand is a major player in Australia’s burgeoning craft beer scene. We’ll suss out the brewing vats before guzzling a tasting panel of their finest hoppy frothies.
