Your Experience

The Scenic Rim to Byron Bay

Your three-day epicurean extravaganza begins with a meet-and-greet from our friendly local guide. Upon collecting guests from Brisbane (9 am) and the Gold Coast (9:40 am), you’ll cruise up the tree-fringed Rainforest Road towards Tamborine Mountain, the highest town in the Scenic Rim. As one of Lonely Planet’s top ten regions in the world, the Scenic Rim is awash with untouched rainforest and gushing falls.

We make a few quick pitstops to capture the mercurial views before rolling into Witches Falls Winery. This boutique vineyard’s namesake comes from its mysterious gnarled trees (the local kids reckon the branches look like witches’ brooms). Treat yourself to their award-winning cheese board and a glass of handcrafted Grenache.

Your next stop is right around the corner, the magnificent Mason Wines. Devour a lazy two-course lunch on its lush lawns while gazing over pristine Aussie bush views (it’s another top spot to sample sublime artisanal wine).

We then cruise down the coast towards Byron Bay and check-in to the five-star Crystalbrook Byron Resort. A sustainable luxury benchmark, the sleek suites in this eco-friendly hotel feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking 18 hectares of pristine rainforest.

Pay homage to the traditional owners on an Indigenous culture tour led by a respected Arakwal custodian, Delta Kay.
Learn about ancient Bundjalung customs while foraging for bush tucker and medicine in the scenic Cape Byron peninsula.

Pull up a pew for dinner at Crystalbrook’s acclaimed in-house restaurant, Forest Byron Bay. The refined mod-oz venue plates up ethically sourced free-range meat, vegetarian, and seafood dishes—how does West Australian true or Bangalow sweet pork sound?

Byron Bay

Wake up to the chirping of birds in a secluded rainforest setting. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and a leisurely morning at your own pace. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, embark on an optional outdoor activity like surfing or ocean kayaking. Early risers can take a pre-dawn hot air balloon ride to see Australia’s first rays of sunshine for the day. Want to check out the town? Make use of the complimentary bicycles and cruise to the beach or to the many cafes Byron has to offer.

Come midday, and we’ll cruise through rolling green pastoral hills towards The Farm, an iconic Byron venue home to a slew of hip micro-businesses. Lunch is at the Three Blue Ducks, an acclaimed farm-to-table restaurant that plucks fresh ingredients mere metres from your table. Stroll the rural property to say hello to highland cows and shop for artisanal goodies in its cute boutiques.

Rested and renourished, you’ll then sip craft brews at Stone & Wood, a famous Byron brewery known as one of the best in Australia with countless award-winning beers. Our next stop is Cape Byron Distillery, a boutique gin maker set in a lush rainforest locale. Hear Brookies’ inspiring sustainability story while savouring his delicious range—every bottle contains botanicals sourced on-site.

The rest of the day is at leisure. Kick back at your soothing rainforest retreat or head out to frequent Byron’s trendy restaurants and lively bars.

Tweed Hinterland & Home

On the third day, sleep in or opt for a morning yoga session. After another nourishing breakfast, we check out at 10 am and venture through the verdant Tweed Hinterlands.

Your first stop is at the sustainability-focused and well known Tropical Fruit Farm. Grab a quick coffee before our tropical fruit tasting then explore the picturesque property with its Insta-worthy prickly pears and incredible views of Wollumbin.

Nearby, Husk Distillers is a paddock-to-bottle producer famous for its unique cane juice rum and transformative gin. Take a distillery tour to see the production of their world-famous Ink Gin, a floral-infused drop that adopts a mesmerising pink hue upon adding tonic. Tastings accompany a gourmet alfresco lunch with striking Mount Wollumbin views.

An unforgettable weekend of mouth-watering morsels and tasty tipples concludes upon returning home in the afternoon.
