The 3 Most Heavenly Bathhouses on the Gold Coast

tailored foodie tours

A slew of beautiful bathhouses on the Gold Coast offers world-class wellness services amid tranquil surroundings.

Whether you crave a soothing soak or a rejuvenating massage, treat yourself to a proper good pampering at these three GC gems.

Greenhouse the Bathhouse

Near Tallebudgera Creek, Greenhouse is a boutique bathhouse with a communal rejuvenation space.

The charming old weatherboard cottage has been fully renovated to cater for the wellness crowd, complete with whitewashed interiors and rustic rattan décor.

Each soaking session spans five spaces, while two private massage rooms host nourishing body scrubs. Aquatic amenities include a hydrotherapy spa, a red cedar sauna, a steam room, a magnesium plunge pool, and a sun deck and lounge area. Each beautification treatment is based on their in-house skincare range.

Good-value packages combine hydrotherapy with organic face scrubs and massage. Some deals even throw in free bubbles or kombucha and a wholesome plant-based meal.

Enquire about the scheduled wellness sessions led by reiki healer and Amare Alchemy founder Carley McGee.

The Bathhouse at Ground – Currumbin

Nestled amid the lush Currumbin Valley, this sublime forest-shrouded bathhouse is worth the short drive out of town.

The beautifully restored 100-year-old farmhouse has a wood-fired hot stone sauna for a steamy stress-relieving session. Most of its aquatic facilities, however, reside outside to reacquaint you with nature and provide ample fresh air.

Tucked away under a majestic fig tree, you’ll find a hydrotherapy spa bath, an ice bath, a traditional hot tub, and a mineral-enriched plunge pool. Don’t miss the infrared sauna, a therapeutic spot inside a barrel-shaped timber cabin.

The bathhouse forms part of Ground, a cute Currumbin collective of environmentally-conscious shops. Once the pampering is done, pop into The Grocer for local organic produce or Pasture & Co café for nourishing plant-based eats.

Soak Bathhouse – Day Spa Gold Coast

On Mermaid Beach, this sublime venue lures stressed-out city-dwellers from Coombabah to Currumbin. Soak follows a unique four-step wellness philosophy, combining recovery, nutrition, movement, and connection to create a holistic wellness approach.

Indoor and outdoor aquatic amenities include communal mineral baths, a cold plunge pool, hot spas, a steam room, and a traditional dry sauna. Each draws on Himalayan water treated with a high-tech oxygen UV energy field purification system. Staff recommend skipping a shower at the end of the session to let the magnesium-rich water soak in.

Private experiences include remedial, full-body, and pregnancy massages. There’s also a relaxing infrared sauna and LED express facial room.

Rock up on weekends for a jubilant vibe, or come mid-week for a more secluded soak.
