Meet the New Paddock-to-Plate Gourmet Restaurant in Tweed

Some exciting news is afoot for epicurean holidaymakers: we’ll soon see a brand new gourmet restaurant in Tweed.

Set a stone’s throw from Kingscliff Beach, the hotly anticipated Farm & Co restaurant will serve authentic paddock-to-plate dishes and sustainably sourced seafood. Here’s everything you need to know about the fast-approaching September 2022 inauguration.

The Farm & Co Story

The brand began with an organic produce store and on-site café at a scenic Cudgen farm. Before long, the site became a popular pit stop among holidaymaking families seeking to savour a slice of rural Tweed life.

The working organic farm grows an array of fresh produce without any chemicals or unnatural approaches. By combining traditional and contemporary agricultural techniques, Farm & Co can protect the ecosystem and produce healthy, wholesome food.

Other green initiatives include on-site solar panels and rainwater irrigation tanks. The team also uses a comprehensive recycling system and has composting facilities for food waste.

After a recent renovation, the venue is set to open an authentic paddock-to-plate restaurant. The contemporary seasonal menu showcases organic produce plucked primarily from the farm. Where necessary, ingredients come in fresh from regional producers.

The owners are launching Farm & Co Weddings in conjunction with the new restaurant. Stunning hinterland views and wholesome farm-fresh food guarantee a premium Tweed wedding destination.

The Farm & Co Team

With fierce competition among Tweed paddock-to-plate providers, Farm & Co was forced to the ante with its latest venture. The owners rounded up an all-star cast of hospitality heavyweights to run the new restaurant.

Mark Wilson from the esteemed PLB Group (Lolita’s Mexican Cantina, Taverna, and Spice Den) spearheads the project. He’ll work alongside hospitality hotshot Rachel Duffy, who worked as the General Manager at Sydney’s iconic Icebergs Dining Room and Bar. Rachel more recently found fame with the acclaimed Cabarita venue No 35. Kitchen and Bar—and she’s set to replicate that success.

Wine specialist Tim Coleman will plan the perfect pairings. Tim used to manage Sydney’s three chefs-hatted Rockpool restaurant, so you can rest assured he’ll find the perfect drop.

Of course, the kitchen team is no less impressive. Executive Chef Armando Enriquez Icaza has been working alongside Amy Brown (a former Rick Shores chef) to brainstorm the seasonal menu.

With quality zero-kilometre produce and an all-star team, Farm & Co will position itself among the Tweed’s best. Expect top-quality nosh to match the likes of Paper Daisy, Fins Restaurant, and the Tweed River House.

All this comes served amid sunflower fields and macadamia orchards. Come for the paddock-to-plate cuisine. Stay for the sweeping hinterland views.
